The nature of my practice

I am an osteopathic physician specializing in the Biodynamic Model of Osteopathy in the Cranial field.  This is very subtle  work in which I engage the patient's own inner corrective forces to find the "Health."  The forces that make adjustments and facilitate healing are the same forces that formed the embryo from a single cell in the first 10 weeks of pregnancy.  The Health is at the core of our being and cannot become altered or diseased.  It is 100 percent available, 24 hours a day, from conception until death.  As the Health is found, problems of the body, mind, emotions and spirit are resolved.

My treatments do not include techniques or manipulation.  I simply maintain contact with and support the "Therapeutic Process" that I have engaged within the patient.  All decisions are made by the "Breath of Life," including priority and endpoint of treatment.  These treatments are precise.  The patient will receive exactly what the Health is calling for at the time of treatment.  The treatment continues actively for several days.

With the patient's cooperation, most common problems will heal using this approach.  The treatments also help the patient connect with their own Health, allowing them an awareness of their own perfection.  Significant progress and healing are likely after these treatments.  Long-standing chronic conditions, however, usually take time to heal and will likely require a series of treatments.  Periodic treatments are very helpful in maintaining a state of optimum health.

My osteopathic treatments are extremely beneficial for infants and children including those suffering from birth trauma and its effects.  Infants should be treated as soon after birth as possible. 

SPECIFIC AREAS WHERE MY TREATMENTS ARE PARTICULARLY BENEFICIAL:

*  Traumatic injuries from falls, motor vehicle accidents, etc. - Treatment soon after an acute injury will alleviate shock and significantly reallign the body's structure.  Chronic underlying conditions would likely require more treatment.

*  Pre and post surgery - Since all cells of the body are affected in some way by these treatments, cellular function will be optomized, thus enhancing fluid flow, nerve function, immune function, etc., for optimum and accelerated healing.

* People in therapy - To greatly assist in releasing deep emotional trauma from cells and tissues of the body and thus allowing for a greater sense of "being", enhanced relationships, joy, etc.

* Treatment of children - My work is very effective in reducing or elliminating the effects of birth trauma, adoption, learning disabilities, sensory/motor integration dysfunction, sensory overload, developmental delays, autism, abuse, attention issues (ADD/ADHD), asthma, night terrors, ear infections, TMJ, bed wetting, allergies, etc.
